This picture was shot at Mayrhofen, Austria.
The rider is a good friend of mine, Matt Burt, who reps for Ride Snowboards in the UK. This is one of my favourite shots for a few reasons – it’s just a guy getting buried in snow, it was a proper winters day, we didn’t need to hike to get into position, we had a lot of fun & there was no pressure. This was taken for a Boardwise.com brochure some time around 1999 when things were pretty good.
I remember that day in mayrhofen, I saw you guys shooting with Doug, Collum, Matt. Snow was too good to stop and say hi tho!!!
